Probably the most fruitful weekend this year so far.
Firstly, of course, repaid majority of our sleep debt, just like what we do whenever there is a chance to.
Secondly, finally booked our future love nest on Thursday, after almost 2 months of anxious anticipation, and monitoring the hdb website for updates almost every hour each day. I must say we are really lucky to get the top floor with our number 156 out of 196 units available out of 2848 applications received, probably the 'hottest' bto project so far. Furthermore, it has south-facing windows, nearer the food sources and away from the main road, and it's the corner unit far from the lift and rubbish chute.
The selection process was so unexciting as compared to the wait. Just get a queue number, wait for our number to be called, pass them all the necessary documents, choose and confirm the unit we want, followed by signing of a handful of documents, go upstairs pay money and that's it. Before it could struck me that we were actually really buying the most expensive purchase of our lives thus far, something that has been giving us headache for a year, it was over, so surreal...
Thirdly, our very fruitful and 'accidental' discovery on Good Friday. With the intention of getting a pen for our ROM, we headed towards Bras Basah (because parking at Orchard is freaking expensive before 5pm.) Chanced upon this shop at level 4 that specializes in bridal stuff. Lots of decorative items, pens, accessories, favors etc. Bought some materials for making our invites and extra favors from there.
Pardon the blur picture, but who can resist this?
Well, after much contemplation, we decided it was too cute, and decided to use the money on something more practical.
But without a doubt, that place is a hidden gem!
Now continuing on our Good Friday, I pulled cheeky to Mitju warehouse sale, long queue as expected, and managed to grab 2 pairs of shoes (oops! shhhhhh!!!!), it was an interesting sight to see girls grabbing anything off the table and trying it on their feet, while guys just sit on the stage in one row playing with their phone! Cheeky also managed to buy his shoes for our ROM from Pedro at a discounted price too. (I could have bought 6 pairs of Mitju with that price, haha!)
And lastly, spent the weekend making our wedding favors, extremely pleased with my works. Just left with the final touch-ups :)
And not forgetting, caught 'Hunger Games' too, shall revisit Titanic in 3D this week!
Loves weekends (when I don't need to work!)
