Found NEMO

Woohoo! After 2 nights of theory lessons, 2 nights of pool classes and a weekend of sun, beach, sea and the amazing world underneath, we've finally gotten our PADI open water cert to explore the underwater world!
We set off on Friday evening, took a 3 hour bus ride to Mersing and then a 6-hour boat ride on the super-slow 'sampang' before reaching our destination - Dayang.
An hour later, we got out of bed, had a sumptuous 'kampong style' international buffet breakfast before heading out for our first dive.
The first 2 dives were mainly on practising the skills and getting used to the sea water. Even though we didn't swim around much and I was freezing underwater for the first 2 dives, it was an amazing experience to have so many beautiful fish swimming around me. And those fishies are totally bochup, they just swim around as though divers are another species of fish. It was only on the 3rd dive that we really went around exploring, and gasp! I FOUND MY NEMO!!! OMG! they're so perfectly in the shade of sunshine orange, round, plump and juicy! playing hide and seek in those plushy anemone. Super Love!!! Day 1 ended with a BBQ dinner, doing up our logbook and listening to our dive instructor's collection of photos before hitting the sack.
Sunday started early because we had to leave by noon due to the tide, but we did manage to go for another 2 dives, breakfast, lunch, wash-up, pack-up all before noon. Amazing experience, no wonder people say diving is addictive. Next time we'll make sure we get a underwater camera, and a proper set of attire to capture the wonders of 'under the sea'! Nemos, turtles, muray eel, gigantic clam, huge starfish, sea cucumber, lionfish, beautiful coral, puny little shrimps, colourful nudibranch, fishes big and small, there's just too many!
Here're some of the photos, not many cos we're too busy with all the gears and have yet to invest in a underwater camera.

Open water scuba diving, finally off my wishlist!
Next up: skydiving???? ok, cheeky??
