42.195 again.

Sundown Marathon, finally off my wish list.
5:36:04. Quite pleased with my timing, though I don't think it was my PB, but considering I haven't been running like how I used to, and managed to brave through the rain with my lousy knees that was on the verge of giving way even before the half way mark, it's quite a good end to my marathons.
The first 15km or so was enjoyable, running through the city, mbs with angmohs cheering the runners on with a mug of beer, marina barrage etc. Then my poor knees started to ache and my tummy too, I thought I emptied my poos before the run but apparently not. Then came my most hated ECP, it was a battle between mind and body, or rather legs. Around the halfway mark, it started to rain! Well, I was kind of thankful it was a distraction for the pain in my knees and the emerging poo as I was busy trying to keep my iphone dry. When I finally crossed the finishing line, collected my finisher's tee, I thought to myself: why the hell did I put myself through more than 5 and a half hours of pain just for this shirt, next time I'll just spend the money to buy myself some dry-fits!
Ok, enough said, I promised cheeky I'll take good care of my body to pop some monsters, so no more marathons :)
Took half day off on Monday to sign our lease and almost emptied my pathetic CPF. HDB rocks, take 5% of down payment on the spot and only refund the $2k booking fees one month later. Alright, next step will be taking the keys to our love nest! :)
Laksa for dinner, fish-watching at Honeymoon dessert and MIB3 followed.
Now that's my cheeky boy when I said "wait don't eat first, I take photo first!"

Hubby, I want a holiday!

I want to take a plane away from this island and enjoy some peacefulness with just the two of us, but I can't think of a place to go. I want to go Europe, US, exotic countries, or even Japan and Korea is fine, but we're saving up our leaves and money for our honeymoon next year, and going to a nearby island is not worth the money, even though it may be just a few hundred bucks. So, I'm still stucked here in misery.
So I'm hoping to win the Changi Millionaire, just like how I always hope to strike TOTO. Obese hope!
Ok, back to reality. Time to start hunting for greener grass.

Life as Mrs Chong

Is great so far!
No matter what shit work gives me, I always look forward to the seeing my cheeky boy at the end of the day, give him a big hug and a peck on those cheeks. :)
Went for my first gown fitting session last week. Man, the gowns are at least 2kg in weight and it was a challenge finding the hole to put yourself inside when you're all naked except for the big cancan. Tiring, but nevertheless a fun experience. Tried at least 10 gowns, most are beautiful, elegant, sexy, sweet, exaggerated, hot, too spoilt for choice. Can't wait for the next fitting session to see myself in different looks.
Now for more photos of that day, enjoy :)

Yes I Do...

12.05.12.
On a beautiful Saturday in the corner of a smaller island of this little island. We said our vows, exchanged rings and promised to take care of each other for the rest of our lives.
Whilst awaiting photos from our photographer, here are some from our dear friends and relatives...
Looking back, it was a busy 3 months of preparation for that 3 hours of limelight, but nonetheless, it was all done with a big smile and filled with happiness.
I initially had some reservations about the place, because our coordinator wasn't very responsive initially and we didn't get to view the room for a solemnization set-up prior to the event, neither was there any food tasting. But the place didn't disappoint. We checked in at 2pm and were greeted with a welcome note on a king-sized bed, a plate of fresh fruits (which I devoured before the make-up start), a nespresso machine (which I didn't really know how to use though), huge toilet with glass walls and sinking in bathtub and a tv screen in front of it! how cool is that! And not forgetting, the remote-controlled curtains that opened up to a magnificent view of yachts! Breath-taking!
The spread was excellent! Good variety and quality of cold appetizers, hot food, desserts etc, and the waiters auto-refilled any dish that was finishing. Love the lighted dining table and my blue roses!
I can't put it in words how the whole process felt like. Although I've been counting down day by day, and gradually building up the anxiety, until the night before, when I stared into blank space and it hit me with the "OMG it's tomorrow" feeling. On Saturday itself, morning we were making double and triple sure we have packed everything we needed to bring, then finalized the transport arrangements and some fine details like who to do what, how the march-in will be like etc. Then I constantly looked at the clock and finally set off.
From the time my make-up artiste and photographer arrived and the function room was ready to use (which was about 5pm), everything happened so fast, so much so that I didn't really had a good look at myself before we starting snapping photos. Then our solemnizer came at about 7pm, and shortly after he sat himself down and addressed the audience, I was given the cue to march in, before I had the time to realize "this is it". From there, we basically just followed instructions. I wasn't nervous but I couldn't really remember what I said! The whole solemnization only took a few minutes, too short to shake in the fact that "That was it! Done!" All those weeks of effort and money spent just for that few minute, but I certainly enjoyed the whole process and definitely have no regrets.
Now when I look at that cheeky boy whom I call my hubby, there's only 2 words to describe: 幸福.

When Tiggy meets Chicky

曾经骤然的偶遇
如今深沉的相识
至今后坦诚的相许
Our two additional VIP 'guests' for Saturday :)

No hen's night but we had a ktv night. Great deal from online coupon, worked out to 7 bucks per pax for 2 hours of singing, 1 jug of soft drink and 2 bowls of tidbits to be shared.
Reminiscing the times of cheap ktv in bj. Age is just a number.

Last weekend as Miss Lin

One by one, the most unthinkables of Ms Legi is coming true. First is becoming a sinseh, though part-time, but it's hard for me to swallow the fact still. Next, is coming someone's wife in 5 days time! Gosh!
and so auntie legi and cheeky went household shopping on Sat at Robinsons and bought a snuggly Sealy mattress for our new home. Yes, 2 years in advance, super kiasu us! Cheeky is so going to sleep himself silly! We also grabbed a bolster that was love at first hug!
2nd consecutive sunday spent at the gym because the sun was too scorching for a run and I don't want to become a chao-ta bride. Last week I found my inner thigh and obliques, this week I found my triceps. Kinda miss the feeling of aching muscles after a workout. And as we were walking back after our workout (after a thunderstorm), we saw this:
New style of army truck?
Just as we were busy commenting how suay the driver is, an uncle walked pass and said "nevermind, who ask him to illegal park!"
See that summon ticket for parking at handicap lot? and that pile of jungle on his car? I guess he has learnt his lesson the hard way.

Never knew I could hate someone so much

Until I had to face that stupid old man everyday!! The sight of his balding head from my table, the sight of his freaking ugly car parked downstairs, the sound of him knocking on the glass window to call for meeting, and the ultimate - sound of his footsteps getting closer and closer, then pressing on my chair or kicking the things on the floor just so that he can get closer to my table cos his old eyes can't see shit! And when the big boss talks, he just nods like a pathetic dog and agrees to everything the big boss says like a pussy!
Doesn't he realise i'm not the only one, the whole office can't stand him. 作人做到这样实在是可怜!Ok, enough said, not worth it to let this kind of idiots affect my mood.
What a dumbo I am to realise I have 2 bottles of cough mixture underneath my table (samples bought for work purposes) only after my cough has recovered after 2 weeks. My brain has seriously shrank in size.
Yes, blogging now cos I have zero mood to work, and I have done enough for the day, or rather, for the week. can't wait for weekend! After next week, it'll be time to sit down and seriously think over my future career life, for now, let me just concentrate on becoming Mrs Cheeky :)

Sleep - the new way of dieting?

http://news.health.com/2012/05/01/sleep-obesity-genes/
There you go cheeky, my sleeping handsome. Dream of those six-packs too!

Now I'll finally learn my lesson not to sign any packages anymore.
Yesterday, the manicure place called to say they've closed cos cannot get permit for manicure (or something along that line) and they'll transfer all their members to the City Hall branch which only does facial and massage. And of course, no refund for packages. Damn! means know I've to look for another place to do my mani next week and I'll need to walk around town area with my naked face? Ok, at least they still bothered to call everyone, poor girl doing all the calling.

Come this May..

Totally love the feeling of turning off my daily morning alarm on a weekday and waking up naturally when the sun is out. Sigh, looks like the next public holiday is not anytime soon, can only look forward to non-working weekends.
So Labour Day was began with a morning short swim, then ikea and giant with the monsters, finishing up the wedding invites in the afternoon and then ended off with munching popcorns and watching Avengers at night! (and now I have a big pimple popping on my nose!)
Ok, now presenting the final product of the wedding invites:
and this is how the card looks like:
Tadaa! Now we're kinda all set

And while I was doing all those, this is what was happening on the other side of the room:
like owner, like dog. Though I'm used to it, but I still can't help wondering how can one sleep so much.
